Last month I was invited to the launch of Macquarie's new "Life Active" cover. This new product rolls all of your income protection, life insurance, trauma and TPD needs into one simple cover, which is priced up to 30% lower than traditional types of life insurance.

A lot of tradies believe they don't need insurance that will cover them in the event of death, critical illness or permanent disability. We think we're bulletproof, and as a young bloke myself I can definitely relate to that.

Recently I insured my partner using Macquarie's new Life Active cover, and it is so reassuring to know that if she was to suffer a critical illness or injury, we'll have a big pile of cash to access the best doctors and medical treatment the world can offer.
